The RAD Card is a special digital gift card created by the Downtown Modesto Partnership and funded by the CARES Act and the American Rescue Act, as well as local contributors. It was designed to provide COVID-related relief to small local business owners during these difficult times, in Modesto and other cities throughout the region.
When it was launched, the RAD Card provided a dollar-for-dollar spending match to users. In effect, it allowed consumers to double the value of their dollars at participating restaurants, retailers, personal care providers and other businesses, including the Gallo Center.
Though the matching funds feature is not currently available, the RAD Card can still be used when loaded with funds by users. It remains a great way to 'support local' because it's the equivalent of paying cash—namely, by saving businesses the cost of credit card transactions.
At the Gallo Center, you can apply your RAD Card to the purchase of tickets to upcoming shows. Purchases must be made in person at the Ticket Office, 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto, or when calling (209) 338-2100. The RAD Card cannot be applied to concessions purchases, and also is not eligible for refunds, which is RAD Card policy.
