YES Company cast members are immersed in a pre-professional performance theater experience, including students interested in technical theater and theater production, who are able to work first hand with professionals to help put on the show. The nine-week musical theater intensive offered during the summer months starts with open auditions, leading to an intense rehearsal period and culminates with seven performances over the span of two weekends in the Gallo Center for the Arts’ Mary Stuart Rogers Theater.
Founded in 1992 by the Stanislaus County Office of Education under the direction of Melanee Wyatt, YES Company members have discovered new talents, abilities, and the power of positive choice. Alumni are instilled with valuable social skills including responsibility, communication, teamwork, and positive self-esteem. Our most recent production was “Singin' in the Rain.”
