Joining Our Board of Trustees

The Gallo Center for the Arts is currently seeking candidates to join our Board of Trustees!

The Board of Trustees is comprised of approximately 50 non-voting community leaders and business professionals who advise, support, and advocate on the behalf of the Gallo Center for the Arts. Trustees support the operations of the Gallo Center for the Arts through their various areas of expertise, leadership, community outreach and dedication to making the arts accessible for all people throughout the San Joaquin Valley.

The Board of Trustees is chosen by the governing Board of Directors on an annual basis and may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms. Priority is given to those who have previously served on a nonprofit or corporate board and those who are actively engaged in and support the programs of the Gallo Center.

Trustees are expected to purchase tickets and attend performances, actively participate in fundraising events, respect and uphold the Centers mission and goals, and be goodwill ambassadors for the Gallo Center for the Arts. Trustees are also required to financially support the ongoing programs of the Gallo Center with a minimum personal contribution of $75 annually. Trustees may also be invited to join a committee.

The Board believes our community is greatly strengthened by diverse leadership representing different backgrounds, experiences, religions, national origins, sexual orientations, genders, races, ethnicities, and disabilities. The Board is committed to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible environment where all Board members, staff, volunteers, and patrons feel respected and valued equally.
