Gallo Center Repertory Company was officially founded in 2016 under the artistic direction of Jim Johnson. The organization has produced theatre at the Gallo Center since 2011, including co-productions with other local arts companies like Prospect Theatre Project, MJC Theatre Department, CSU Stanislaus Theatre Department, Modesto Performing Arts, and Sankofa Theatre Company.
