Ticket Policies

Patron Code of Conduct Policy

The Gallo Center for the Arts asks all guests to be respectful of others around them. Any guest who interferes with the enjoyment of another individual during an event is subject to ejection from the building. During performances we ask all guests to remain seated for the duration of the performance. Depending on the demographics of certain events (such as concerts), standing may be accepted as normal protocol. Guests are permitted to stand if the majority of the audience is doing the same. Some entertainers will instruct the Gallo Center staff not to ask anyone to sit down during their performance. Standing on seats or any other building structure is not permitted and may result in ejection from the event.

Ticket Policies

The Gallo Center for the Arts Ticket Office, its phone center, and its website, are the only authorized outlets for tickets to performances presented by the Center. Tickets purchased from sources such as brokers or third-party websites, unless specifically authorized by the Center, are purchased at the consumer's own risk. By purchasing from the official ticket provider, you are assured that the tickets you receive are valid, are being sold to you at face value, and will be honored by the Center.

All programs, artists and ticket prices are subject to change.

The Gallo Center strives for accuracy in its marketing communications, but occasionally typographical or other unintentional errors occur. The Center reserves the right to correct any errors at a patron’s time of purchase.

Exchanges

Exchanges can be made in person, by mail, or over the phone with a $3 exchange fee. The exchange must be completed at least 24 hours in advance of the show date being returned. The exchange also has to be made within the same producing company and season of the original tickets purchased.

Refunds

The Gallo Center for the Arts has a “no refund” policy. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. There are no refunds unless an event is cancelled and not replaced. No refunds or credits will be offered on previously purchased tickets if a promotional price is offered at a later date. Please note: ticket fees are not included in credits or refunds because the Gallo Center has already incurred credit card processing charges and other costs to complete the initial order.

Notice to ticket scalpers: If the Gallo Center identifies your account as one being used to purchase tickets for resale on the secondary market, and you have purchased tickets to a show that has been rescheduled, we will not refund your tickets, exchange them for a different show or issue a credit/gift certificate in the amount of your purchase. Your only option will be retain those tickets for use on the new date of the rescheduled show.

Ticketing

The Gallo Center for the Arts has numerous performances that children will love as much as adults. Children over age four are welcome at most of these events, with the exception of symphonies, ballets and operas. Most performances of this type are not recommended for children under age 8. Regardless of age, every child must have a ticket. As a requirement of the city’s fire code, children may not sit in a parent’s lap. Children who are unable to sit quietly during a performance, along with the adult accompanying them, may be asked by an usher to leave the theater temporarily. There are television monitors in the Marie Damrell Gallo Grand Lobby for your viewing until you are able to re-enter the theater. Parents should consider aisle seating when bringing young children who may need to exit if they are restless or need a bathroom break.

Ticket Purchase Fees
  • Facility Fee - $3/per ticket (Internet, Phone & Walk up)*
  • Single Tickets Handling Fee (Phone & Internet) - $5/per ticket; (Walk up) - No Charge
  • Single Ticket Promo Code Handling Fee (Phone & Internet) - $5/per ticket; (Walk up) - No Charge
  • Subscription Orders Handling Fee- $25/per order
  • Group Orders Handling Fee (15+ only) - $25/per order
  • Exchange Fee - $3/per exchange

*What is the Facility Fee? As the Gallo Center for the Arts ages—the building opened in 2007—this fee is an important component in funding maintenance and improvements designed to keep the Center in a state-of-the-art condition that will continue to attract the best of the performing arts to our community. We appreciate your understanding of this necessity.

Ticket Limits

For some pre-selected performances, we will typically impose a predetermined amount of tickets per show per person (regardless of the number of transactions) in order to provide tickets to as many patrons as possible. We reserve the right to cancel, without notice, any or all orders and tickets from individuals who exceed the posted limits. This includes multiple orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information. Persons or organizations purchasing on behalf of a group of 15 people or more, with a group sales contract, are exempted from this policy. Gallo Center donors also are exempted from the policy.

TICKET PURCHASE CONDITIONS

As a condition of ticket purchases, patrons agree to abide by this Gallo Center policy regarding personal digital devices: The use of cameras, cellular phones, tablets or any such device, for audio/video recording, photography, texting, checking email or other related activities, is strictly prohibited in the theaters. In addition, patrons agree that should they violate this policy, management reserves the right to confiscate the device and/or evict the patron from the theater.

Notice to Ticket Brokers

The Gallo Center for the Arts, like many other performing arts venues, is victimized by ticket broker companies and individuals who purchase tickets to popular concerts and then prey on unwitting consumers by selling them those tickets at grossly inflated prices. To help deter such activities, the Gallo Center scrutinizes all ticket orders and reserves the right to cancel, without notice, any purchase that we deem to be suspicious. For example, an order for ten concert tickets from an individual in Florida or other distant location is very likely to be cancelled. If you have placed such an order that the Gallo Center cancels, and you dispute our decision, you may call our Ticket Office at (209) 338-2100 to discuss the reason for your purchase.

Content Advisories

The Gallo Center no longer provides advisories or ratings about subject matter, as sensitivities greatly vary from person to person. If you have concerns about show content, age-appropriateness or other subjects, contact the Ticket Office at (209) 338-2100 or ticketing@galloarts.org. We also recommend using Google or YouTube to learn more about a show or performer before making a purchase.
