The focus of this masterclass is dance, specifically the acclaimed “Bottle Dance” from Fiddler on the Roof. Students will also learn about the history of Fiddler on the Roof, is continual resurgence in the Broadway community, and its relevance to audiences today. Recommended for grades 4+.

Debbie Holtzclaw
As an award winning choreographer, Debbie Holtzclaw has worked in the Central Valley for 40+ years creating critically acclaimed production numbers for shows such as FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, SINGING IN THE RAIN, and A CHORUS LINE. She won Sacramento's Regional Theatre Arts' 'Elly' award for Best Choreographer for her work on MPA's 42ND STREET and was also honored by the Stanislaus Arts Council for excellence in arts in the field of dance. As the former owner/ director of The Dance Factory, Debbie has been able to share her love of dance with thousands of students of all ages, helping develop dancers for competitions, colleges, and careers in dance.
