ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION
The Gallo Center for the Arts strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for students of all abilities. Parents are encouraged to provide complete information on the registration form and will be contacted by a member of our Education Department to discuss reasonable and respectful accommodations.
TUITION
YES Academy is a tuition-based program. Classes may be purchased in groups of 4 ($65), 8 ($130), 12 ($195) or all 16 ($260) per student. Payment is due at time of registration. Classes must be purchased before attending.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The Gallo Center reserves the right to cancel a class if there are less than four students registered.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available. Please click here to apply. The deadline to apply for scholarships is Friday January 16, 2026. Scholarships will be awarded by email on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Scholarship awards must be accepted and confirmed by Friday January 23, 2026
CLASS LOCATIONS
Classes take place at one of four Downtown Modesto Locations.
- Gallo Center for the Arts (GCA) 1000 I Street
- Tom Changnon Education Center (TCEC) 1325 H Street
- Martin G. Petersen Event Center (Petersen) 720 12th Street
- Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) 1100 H Street
- Street parking is available at all locations for class drop off and pick up. If your student drives themselves we have parking passes available.

Spring 2026 Class Schedule
STUDENT PARTICIPATION & BEHAVIOR
Students will wear class appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. (NO sandals, crocs, bare midriffs, short skirts/shorts, baggy pants).
Students will respect the people, personal boundaries and property of YES Academy and all the class, performance, and event facilities.
Please review the following with your child and ensure they understand the following expectations.
Parents/Guardians will be immediately notified if:
- A child disturbs or hurts others, either verbally or physically.
- A child damages equipment or property.
- A child places himself/herself in a dangerous situation.
Students will be dropped from the program at any time, forfeiting any fees, if they are unable to maintain the discipline and responsibility necessary to obtain a positive, productive, and safe environment to all involved in the production.
CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The use of cell phones, tablets, smart watches or video games are prohibited during classes unless otherwise instructed by teachers. If devices are seen more than once in a day they will be taken away from the student and returned to a parent/guardian at check out. At times, students will be asked to check in their cell phones for safe keeping during rehearsals and/or performances.
RELEASE & CONSENT
I agree to hold harmless the Gallo Center for the Arts or its staff and the Stanislaus County Office of Education or its staff for any personal injury, property damage or articles lost resulting from participation in YES Academy.
I give consent for my student to be photographed and video recorded and hereby authorize YES Academy, the Gallo Center for the Arts, and the Stanislaus County Office of Education to use and reproduce these photographs for publicity, promotional and/or granting purposes.
