HOW TO REGISTER

Participation in YES Company is by audition. The Summer 2025 audition process is now closed. Auditions for Summer 2026 will begin in February 2026. For more information on other GCA Arts Education Programs, please visit our website.

ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION

The Gallo Center for the Arts strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for students of all abilities. Parents are encouraged to provide complete information on the registration form and will be contacted by a member of our Education Department to discuss reasonable and respectful accommodations.

TUITION

YES Company is a tuition-based program. The tuition fee is $250.00 per student. Tuition is due in full at the time of student registration. The deadline to complete registration and pay tuition for Summer 2025 is May 1, 2025.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received by May 26, 2025 will be refunded amount paid less a $25 processing/registration fee.

Cancellations received after May 26, 2025 cannot be refunded.

The Gallo Center reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment is insufficient. In this instance, any amount paid will be refunded in full.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available. Please click here to apply. The deadline to apply for scholarships is Friday March 7, 2025. Scholarships will be awarded by email on Friday, March 14, 2025. Scholarship awards must be accepted and confirmed by Wednesday March 26, 2025.

CLASS LOCATIONS

Classes/rehearsals take place at one of three downtown Modesto locations.

  • Tom Changnon Education Center (TCEC) 1325 H Street
  • Martin G. Petersen Event Center (Petersen) 720 12th Street
  • Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) 1100 H Street

Street parking is available at all locations for class drop off and pick up. If your student drives themselves we have parking passes available.

SCHEDULE & COMMUNICATION

Students and families will submit all conflicts upon accepting their role before the deadline of March 7, 2025. We do our best to accommodate schedules. Depending on character casting, students can miss up to one week in June. All rehearsals are mandatory beginning July 7, 2025. If additional conflicts arise, students and/or parents will give advanced notice (at least three days) in writing to the Arts Education Programs Manager for approval. If students miss more than the allotted excused absences, they may be dropped from the program. Please review the Rehearsal and Performance Calendar.

All classes/rehearsals will begin and end on time. Students are expected to arrive and depart on time and stay for the entire duration of their call time unless otherwise communicated with the Arts Education Programs Manager.

Students and families will use the BAND App as the primary form of communication with YES Academy staff during the semester.

Classes/rehearsals are closed to all but the cast and crew members unless previous arrangements have been made with the Arts Education Programs Manager.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION & BEHAVIOR

Students will wear class appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. (NO sandals, crocs, bare midriffs, short skirts/shorts, baggy pants).

Students will respect the people, personal boundaries and property of YES Company and all the class, performance, and event facilities.

Please review the following with your child and ensure they understand the following expectations.

Parents/Guardians will be immediately notified if:

  • A child disturbs or hurts others, either verbally or physically.
  • A child damages equipment or property.
  • A child places himself/herself in a dangerous situation.

Students will be dropped from the program at any time, forfeiting any fees, if they are unable to maintain the discipline and responsibility necessary to obtain a positive, productive, and safe environment to all involved in the production.

CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES

The use of cell phones, tablets, smart watches or video games are prohibited during classes unless otherwise instructed by teachers. If devices are seen more than once in a day they will be taken away from the student and returned to a parent/guardian at check out. At times, students will be asked to check in their cell phones for safe keeping during rehearsals and/or performances.

RELEASE & CONSENT

I agree to hold harmless the Gallo Center for the Arts or its staff and the Stanislaus County Office of Education or its staff for any personal injury, property damage or articles lost resulting from participation in YES Company,

I give consent for my student to be photographed and video recorded and hereby authorize YES Company, the Gallo Center for the Arts, and the Stanislaus County Office of Education to use and reproduce these photographs for publicity, promotional and/or granting purposes.
